Child – I dont like Teacher A
Me – Why?
Child – She is bad, she was angry at me.
Me – Why was she angry?
Child – What ever maybe the reason she cannot yell at me.
Me – Agreed. So you didn’t like the yelling?
Child – Yes, I was wrong, she could have told me, she yelled at me.
Me – Is she always like that?
Child – No but so what if this is the fourth time I did the same mistake
Me: Has she yelled at you before?
Child – No
Me – Did the mistake you did affect her?
Child – No it affected my friend.
Me – Let me see if I got it right… The teacher never yelled until now. This time she lost her patience.
Child – Yes , she was trying to correct me and stop me .
Me – OK , I feel you should try sorting this yourself. If you had an opportunity to tell the teacher what you felt.. what would you say?
Child – Maam , I know I was wrong. I know you meant good. I know it got u angry. But I would have preferred if you didnt yell at me. I am sorry I will not repeat that mistake again.
Me: Ok .. that sounds good… Do you want to do this now?
Child – OK Ill go find her
